JEJU Restaurant Story

Jeju, a contemporary Korean restaurant in Tofino, BC, serves authentic dishes inspired by the owners' childhood memories. The restaurant was opened in 2021 by husband and wife team, Dylan and Sung Kim, after a trip to Tofino reminded them of their favourite place in Korea, Jeju Island. Dylan, the executive chef, is supported by his mother, a professional chef with over 40 years of experience, while Sung manages the restaurant. Jeju prides itself on importing essential ingredients from Sung's grandmother's farm in Haenam, Korea. The restaurant was named a finalist in enRoute magazine's Canada's Best New Restaurants 2022 list.
